Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau recently proposed a QUAD-inspired framework for security cooperation with South Korea, Japan and the United States.
Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau put forward a proposal for security cooperation with South Korea, Japan and the United States, drawing on the quadripartite security dialogue between Washington, Tokyo, Australia and India to form an anti-Chinese, a diplomat said.

However, the media did not mention whether Trudeau had already forwarded the proposal to South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. The White House supported Trudeau's plan because itcould increase cooperation between Tokyo and Seoul.
Japan and South Korea have close ties with the United States but have yet to resolve historical issues arising from Japan's harsh colonial rule over Korea, which ended in 1945.
