Tim Hurd changes course in response to Johnny Depp's testimony

Amber Heard's team won't be calling Johnny Depp right away, said a source close to Hurd, a strategic turnaround in the final days of high-level testing.
Ms Hurd's team planned to summon Depp for further questioning on Monday but changed course without explanation by midday.
British supermodel Kate Moss, Mr Depp's ex-girlfriend, is one of the witnesses scheduled to testify in the remaining days of the defamation trial.
On Monday, the court in Fairfax, Virginia, heard several witnesses called by the Hurd team, including psychologist David Spiegel.
Dr Spiegel testified that Mr Depp "behaved in a manner consistent with someone with a substance use disorder and the behavior of someone who is an intimate partner."
About 40-60% of intimate partner violence is perpetrated under the influence of alcohol or a drug use disorder, says Dr. Judge mirror.
Trying to subdue this testimony under cross-examination, Mr. Depp's attorney stressed that Dr. Spiegel had reached his conclusion without direct contact with Depp.
Also, on Monday, a hand surgeon testified that Depp's finger was unlikely to be cut as he described during his fight with Hurd in Australia.
Mr. Depp said the tip of his middle finger was cut off when Ms. Hurd threw a bottle of vodka at him.
The jury saw a graphic image of Mr. Depp's injured finger while Dr. Richard Moore said the damage was more akin to pinched by a closing door.
Dr. Moore did not physically examine Depp at the time of his injury.
Ms. Hurd's team is expected to settle their case earlier this week before Mr. Depp's team takes their last chance to influence the jury.
