Non-BJP-CM likely to meet in Mumbai to discuss the political situation: Sanjay Rout

Sanjay Raut claims recent attacks on Ram Navami and Hanuman Jayanti rallies were "politically sponsored" to polarize voters.

In another bid to form a coalition to take over the center Bharatiya Janata (BJP) party, Shiv Sena lawmaker Sanjay Raut said that a conference of non-BJP prime ministers would be held on Sunday likely be held in the next few days. Then, in Mumbai, discuss the current political situation in the country. Raut, his party spokesman and editor-in-chief of Sena Saamana, said Trinamool Congressman (TMC) and West Bengal Minister-General Mama Banerjee recently wrote to the Council of Ministers saying,,, the BJP is not in effect.

"Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Sharad Pawar and Maharashtra Chief Minister Udhav Takeri have discussed it, and efforts are underway to hold such a conference in Mumbai," Raut said.

The plan will cover issues ranging from rising unemployment, alleged abuse of the central investigative agency, and attempts to create public discord, among others, the Sena leader said. In December 2021, Banerjee made a similar visit to Mumbai to ally against the BJP. Mrs. Banerjee met with senior figures from Mr. Pawar and Senna, such as Aditya Takari and Mr. Raut, because Maharashtra Prime Minister Udhav Takari was not well. However, the meeting outcome was better without the loss of love between TMC and Congress (partners in the MVA coalition) and the idea that the TMC wanted to form an anti-BJP alliance without Congress.

In February this year, Telangana Prime Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao met with Mr. Takari and Mr. Pawar for the same purpose and called for a "substantial change" in the way the BJP-led center runs the country.

Mr. Raut, meanwhile, has attacked the BJP, accusing them of trying to win the election by inciting religious hatred.

Raut claimed that the unrest that broke out in 10 states scheduled for a vote on Ram Navami in 2023 on April 10 was instigated by the BJP, saying marches during Ram Navami and the Hanuman Giants were "politically sponsored" to polarize voters.

"The BJP's strategy appears to be winning the election at all costs, sowing public discord and untouched by a messy country," he said in his weekly Rockhawk column in Saamana.
