NBA player Rudy Robert ripped after touching a reporter's microphone before testing positive for coronavirus

NBA's Rudy Robert accidentally touched a reporter's microphone just two days before he tested positive for coronavirus, prompting the league to suspend the season.

Since then, Rudy Robert has announced that he has donated $500,000 to support COVID 19 donations. I'm impressed by the efforts the tireless and caring people around the world have for those affected by COVID-19, particularly my communities in Utah and France, in addition to my appreciation and concern for the state of Oklahoma and, of course, my family at the Utah Jazz," he said in a statement. a statement posted to Utah Jazz's Instagram account on Saturday (March 14).

"I know there are many ways people are affected. This donation is one small token that reflects my appreciation and support for all. So involved and is the first of many steps I will take to make positive change as I continue to learn more about COVID-19 and educate others. Thank you, RG," he wrote.

Rudy Robert issued an apology Thursday afternoon ( VIEW HERE) - just hours after a video emerged showing w purposely touching the microphones of all journalists during a press conference about the coronavirus epidemic. "I've been through so many emotions since discovering my diagnosis ... mostly fear, anxiety and shame," admits Rudy.

"First and foremost, I want to apologize publicly to those I may have threatened. At the time, I didn't know I was even infected. Unfortunately, I was careless and didn't apologize," he continued, possibly referring to a press conference moment. I will do my best to support the use of my experience to educate others and prevent the spread of this virus.

The Utah Jazz Center closed with a promise to its fans: "I'm cautious and will make a full recovery. Thank you again for all your support. I encourage everyone to take every step to stay safe and healthy. "Love," he wrote.
