NBA: Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat lead 2-0 in playoffs

The Phoenix Suns and Miami Heat lead their best-of-seven playoff series with 2-0 wins behind the Dallas Mavericks and Philadelphia 76ers.

Chris Paul scored 28 points for the Suns in a 129-109 win over the Mavericks in the Western Conference.

Heath also used his home games in the Eastern Conference with a 119:103 win over the 76ers.

Bam Adebayo scored 23 points and Jimmy Butler 22 for the hosts, while Tyris Maxi scored 34 points for Philadelphia.

The 76ers hope Joel Embiid will return for the first of their two home games on Friday, but coach Doc Rivers admits, "He has so many steps to take. I don't think he just removed any of them. So we'll have to wait and see. see."

The Mavericks, who also host the next two games of the series, beat the Suns 32-26 in the second quarter and led 60-58, with Luka Doncic scoring the best goal with 35 points.

However, Paul scored his 14 points in the fourth quarter as his team won 40-26 to claim victory.

"They just have to be a little more aggressive," Paul said.

"In the second quarter, we started to turn things around. They did. The shooters scored, and we just wanted to stay on track."
