Jeremy Clarkson calls Oxford shire vegan plans 'crazy.'

Jeremy Clarkson has supported farmers protesting plans to ban meat and dairy products from community events, calling it "total madness."
The Oxfordshire County Council proposes offering only vegan meals at meetings and events and placing more plant-based dishes on the school lunch menu.
The council said the move was part of its efforts to tackle climate change. Clarkson, who owns a ranch in Chadlington, said he hoped to join the protests. Amazon Studios' TV personality series Clarkson's Farm was filmed at Didley Squat's Farm and hit viewers and critics alike.
"I wanted to be there like a gunfight." The former Top Gear presenter also linked to news of a demonstration organized by local farmers at Oxford County Hall on Tuesday, adding:
According to a plan approved by the entire board in December, the panel said it would "ensure that the food provided at all events and meetings served by the board is entirely plant-based, with a preference for using ingredients from local food surplus organizations." So check out the plant-based dishes available on the school lunch menu at least two days a week.
The proposal states that global meat and dairy production is a "significant contributor" to greenhouse gas emissions and deforestation. Board Chair Liz Lefman declined to comment on Clarkson's tweet.
But he told the his plan was for "advisors to take a stand and say we want to make our planet more sustainable, make agriculture more sustainable and ship those products locally where we can."
One protest organizer told the that Clarkson had been invited, but his availability had been misunderstood. The cabinet must approve the measures of the Labor, Liberal Democrats, and Greens coalition council by March 15.
