Humans didn't even leave Mars: Humans left 7118.67 KG of trash on the
Red Planet; This waste spread to the scientific expedition
According to
the United Nations Office for Outer Space Affairs (UNOOSA), humans from 18 countries around the
world have sent 18 objects to Mars. A total of 18 items have been sent
in 14 different missions.
Many of these missions are still operational. Decades of exploring Mars. But
this scientific expedition is constantly leaving waste on the Red Planet.
You will be surprised to know how many types of things
are in this waste. There are large pieces of metal, nets, special fabrics,
pieces of glazed glass, covers, filaments, springs, nut-bolts, etc. After each
mission they do it anxiously. Now people think that no one lives on Mars so
where does the waste come from?
There are three main reasons for the spread of debris
on Mars
There are three main causes of litter spreading on
Mars. Used or discarded hardware, spacecraft spacecraft or even spacecraft that
crash on Mars for some reason while in orbit. There is a module to go to Mars.
Which keeps it safe while landing in the atmosphere. This module also becomes
garbage. These include heat shields, parachutes and landing craft. which allows
spacecraft to traverse the Martian atmosphere. All three parts are left there
after each mission.
As many rovers are leaving, they are leaving waste
When this debris reaches the surface of Mars, the
speed breaks it into many pieces. Well, this happened with the Mars
Perseverance rover sent by NASA. Its heat shield, parachute and landing module
were located in separate locations. A glowing thermal blanket was also visible
about 2 kilometers from the
Perseverance rover's landing site.
As many as nine unused spacecraft have become debris
on Mars
At this time, there are about nine inactive spacecraft
lying idle on Mars. That means they no longer work. They are lying there dead.
They are like a historical museum there.
After completing life on Mars, falling spacecraft also
leave behind debris. They quickly enter the atmosphere and break up and fall on
top of it. Now the garbage is spreading. So why are scientists concerned?
Because no pollution spreads and no human lives. So what is the benefit of this
study?
This waste is a threat to the future
NASA scientists say this debris poses a threat to
future missions. Also, the threat is looming over missions currently operating
there. This waste can spoil samples, equipment and other technical items.
Because missions cannot land everywhere on Mars. That's how most of the
missions come around. It will also land around future missions. So the tension
is increasing because of this garbage.
