Frankie de Jong: Manchester United has contacted Barcelona about the midfielder.

The Dutch midfielder plays for new United manager Eric ten Haag at Ajax and is believed to be ideal for the system he is planning at Old Trafford.
There is still no official offer, and United sources insist they will no longer pay the 25-year-old.
De Jong reached the semi-finals of the Champions League with Ajax in 2019 before joining Bara on a five-year contract.
Barça negotiated a £65m deal for De Jong in January 2019, and after joining the Spanish giants this summer, he scored 13 goals in 140 games and helped them win the King's Cup in 2021.
He played 46 games last season, scoring four goals and providing five assists.
This summer, the central midfielder has been identified as a critical attachment zone at Old Trafford.
The departures of Paul Pogba, Nemanja Matic, and Juan Mata mean United has little to offer in that department.
And it has been clear for some time that the club lacks the staffing to compete with Manchester City and Liverpool in that department.
It is unknown how much De Jong wants to move because United failed to qualify for the Champions League next season.
Of course, United are also considering other options and will be prepared to leave if they don't get the deal they want.
However, given Ten Hag's desire to reunite with the player should De Jong hint he is ready to move, it's hard to imagine United failing to complete their first transfer of the new era after Ole sacked Gunnar Solskjaer last season.
