On Thursday, Aiden missed the final confirmation stage after the stallion failed in training on Wednesday.

Early favorites Desert Crown, coached by five-time Derby winner Sir Michael Stout and ridden by Richard Kingscott, finished 12th.

Aiden O'Brien's best hope for a ninth win lies in the Stone Age.

The Irish manager secured a record 41st win for the British Classic on Friday when he won the Oaks on Tuesday.

With Oaks jockey Ryan Moore on board, Stone Age was among the six horses targeted by O'Brien at Epsom but will now only be joined by winners Chester Star Of India and Changingoftheguard.

Peter Brant, who was part of the Stone Age and won the Kentucky Derby as owner and rancher, says O'Brien knows what it takes to achieve fame.

"I think he's a winner, and he likes to win," Brant said on the Nick Luck podcast.

"He takes great care of his training and isn't afraid to try things on a horse and experiment with what they like, and he doesn't give up. He is exceptional."

Frankie Dettori, named the 2007 and 2015 Epsom Champion and runner-up at Oaks Friday's Emily Upjohn, will ride the Piz Badile for O'Brien's 23-year-old coach Donnacha.

Nations Pride is last year's winner, Charlie Appleby's best chance of securing his third win in five years after being added to the £75,000 race.

Nahanni and Walk Of Stars will also represent Appleby.

"Riding for the Queen is a huge boost - and she's a wonderful woman." As part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations, Kieran Fallon will once again wear the Queen's famous purple and gold silk on Derby Day.

The six-time champion and three-time derby winner, who retired in 2016, will be among the 40 current retirees and jockeys riding His Majesty and form a guard of honor on the track.

However, the Queen will not attend and will instead watch the event on television at Windsor Castle.

As Patron of the Jockey Club, Queen has won more than 1,800 worldwide, including more than 1,000 in the UK since her first winner in 1949.

In flat competition, he was a double champion in Great Britain in 1954 and 1957, and last year, he collected 36 winners, a record number for him.
