England white-ball captain Eoin Morgan will be substituted this summer, threatening his game at the 2023 World Cup.
Morgan has managed a team with limited races since 2014, took them to 50th place at the 2019 World Championships, and is struggling with injury.
"Honestly, I have the team's best interests at heart. It's always been that way," said Morgan, 35.
England plays the first of three one-day matches against the Netherlands on Friday.
A fast-paced July followed with three Twenty20 national teams and three ODIs against India and South Africa.
Morgan is currently struggling with a hamstring problem and has previously worked with back and knee problems.
He said he hoped to play the Netherlands in Amstelveen in all three of England's ODIs but was "reluctant to commit 100 percent" to it because he had to "rule" alone.
UK' Heritage Manager' - but who is Matthew Mott?
Morgan said: "Some of our caps were in quick succession, I did it in the West Indies where I played on Saturday and Sunday, and then I got injured leading up to Wednesday's game.
"It was the result of two international matches side by side. So I probably won't be playing every England game this summer.
"But it all depends on how I get to this game. If I fly and everything goes well (I will play), but if not, I don't have to try to emulate it for the World Cup because it won't happen. But yeah, I'll just do it."
"India? It's Far"
New England White Ball manager Matthew Mott said Thursday that Morgan had "very great cricket ahead of him" and that his departure was "still a long way off," without giving a specific date.
England's next major tournament is the T20 World Cup in Australia in October and November, and in addition to the gym, Morgan is expected to lead the team under him.
