Dave Chapel: American comedian attacked stage in Los Angeles

American stand-up comedian Dave Chapel was attacked on stage during a performance at the Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles on Tuesday.
Another video has emerged that appears to show the comic in its entirety after it returns to the stage at Netflix's Is A Joke festival.
Last year, Chappelle faced criticism and protests when his Netflix special was accused of being transphobic.
After returning to the set on Tuesday, the 48-year-old explained the controversy, hinting to the audience that the assailant was "a transgender person."
According to ABC journalist Stephanie Wash, comic book partner Chris Rock - who was beaten on set by Will Smith at the Oscars in March - then took the step with Chappelle. Carpenter told the PA news agency that the assailant "threw himself" at the comedian while directing the show, causing him to "explode."
He said: "Looks like someone rushed across the stage from the side. He fell back onto his back, arms and legs raised. He was shocked. We were all shocked.
"I thought for a moment, okay, is this a joke?" Because they made some jokes with Will Smith. Dave was kidding even though Chris Rock was there; that's fair, isn't it?
In one video, Chappelle can be seen thanking his famous friends for their help, saying, "Whenever you are in trouble, Jamie Foxx will show up in a sheriff's hat."
"I think that's part of the show," Fox said.
Chappelle joked, "I've been doing this for 35 years. I'm just [men] going behind the scenes. I've always wanted to do that."
"Crazy" event
Jimmy Carr, the British comedian who caused outrage over the Holocaust routine with his own Netflix special earlier this year, also appeared on the streaming giant's show on Tuesday.
Carr later tweeted that the show was "crazy" and "glad that everyone is okay."
