TikTok has selected Body by Tion Wayne and Russ Millions as the most popular song for British singers in 2021.
This means that more videos have been made for this song than any other this year, and this is the first time a training song has been titled.
Then Wayne told Newsbeat, "New TikTok, guys. Remix songs with ArrDee, E1 (3x3), ZT (3x3), Bugzy Malone, Buni, Five Foreign, and Darkoo are the most used by app makers. You can't scroll far on TikTok without hearing ArrDee's viral verse this year.
The hashtag #bodyremix has over 200 million views on the app. Earlier this year, the body also pushed the boundaries when it became the first practice song to reach number 1 on the official UK charts.
The ten most popular songs in the UK among TikTok users in 2021 are:
1. Body (Remix) - Tion Wayne & Russ Millions feat. ArrDee, E1 (3x3), ZT (3x3), Bugzy Malone, Buni, Fivio Alien & Darko
2. As much as possible - Sam Smith
3. Just for me - PinkPantheress
4. Unlock (lock) [Jeff Prior Mix] - Charli XCX
5. Levitra - Dua Lipa
6. Obsessed with you - Central Cee
7. Wellerman - Sea Shanty / 220 KID x Billen Ted Remix - Nathan Evans & 220 KID & Billen Ted
8. Bad Habits - Ed Sheeran
9. Oliver Twist - ArrDee
10. Nice to meet you - Wes Nelson
Sam Smith's Like I Can became the UK's second-biggest TikTok song, and Pink Pantheress' Just For Me took third after winning TikTok's breakthrough song last summer.
Pink Pantheress told Newsbeat that she used the app as a song performance test. "I'm posting a snippet of something, and if people like it, I'll include the full version." He never records an entire song without first assessing the reaction of his fans there.
"Before TikTok, I used SoundCloud to publish my music. But, unfortunately, Soundcloud's algorithm is not the same. "The algorithms on TikTok are crazy, you can post a video and have no followers, and it can work just fine."
"This is Liv from TikTok"
Singer Liv Harland streamed her tumultuous performance live on TikTok
Liv Harland from York has had some of the most significant live moments of the year on TikTok, where she has been busy. "It's crazy to see 17,000 people watching at once. But, unfortunately, they will most likely see me at a concert one day," he told Newsbeat. "Now I'm going to ask at least 20 people to come and ask for a photo, or I'm going to hear, 'This is Liv from TikTok.'
