His representative has confirmed that actor Arnold Schwarzenegger was involved in a car crash in Los Angeles. A woman was injured in a 4-car crash on Friday afternoon, the Los Angeles Police Department said.
Crime scene photos show a large SUV on top of three other vehicles at an intersection near his home in the upscale Brentwood neighborhood. Police said no one had been arrested and ruled out drugs and alcohol.
A spokesman for the former California governor confirmed to the Los Angeles Times that he was driving the SUV when the accident occurred but was not injured. Photos after the crash showed the 74-year-old man standing by the roadside talking to other drivers and police officers.
A police report seen by CBS Los Angeles states that Schwarzenegger "was near the intersection of Sunset Boulevard and Allenford Avenue when he collided with a red Prius making a U-turn while proceeding via a red left-turn arrow signal."
It added that the SUV rolled over a red Prius and then hit two other vehicles. Tabloid news site TMZ reported that the Prius driver suffered head injuries and was taken to hospital, but the injuries were not classified as life-threatening.
"He is fine; his only concern at the moment is the injured woman," a spokesperson told PEOPLE magazine.
