America's love for Pakistan has rekindled. While the new
Shehbaz government of Pakistan, excited by the help of America, has also
started to increase its closeness with the US President Joe Biden. After Imran
Khan's government left, America has opened a bag of money for Pakistan. Not
only this, efforts are also being made to convince Pakistan by respecting it.
An example was seen recently.
Pakistani Army Chief General Qamar Javed Bajwa, who arrived in America, was welcomed with a 'cordon of honour'. Usually this kind of honor is given to the defense minister or foreign minister of another country. Meanwhile, Bajwa met US Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin, National Security Advisor Jacob Sullivan and other top officials.
Good ties with Pakistan unlikely to affect India: Ex-official
A former White House official said the new relationship between the US and Pakistan will last a long time. But it will not affect Pakistan's relations with India. America has no foreign policy. However, many believe that India received crude from Russia despite Russia's invasion of Ukraine. Because of this, the closeness of America with Pakistan has increased. But this is not true. If it had, it would have been opposed in the US Congress. In 2016, the Obama administration talked about providing F-16 fighter jets to Pakistan at a subsidized rate. Then there was opposition in both houses.
Mention of India in interview with Bilawal
Pakistan Foreign Minister Bilawal Bhutto met his counterpart Antony Blinken during his current visit to the US. At the meeting, Blinken spoke to Bhutto about the importance of responsible relations with India. This is also important from the point of view of India-Pakistan relations. There was also talk about resolving China's mounting debt on Pakistan.
Joe Biden opens the vault for help
The first meeting between Biden and Shehbaz took place during the United Nations meeting in New York. Pak.media called it an informal visit. It was considered a special visit to America. Before this meeting, America has announced the package for F-16 fighter jets. Also millions of dollars in aid was given to the flood victims. Biden asked the world for help for the terrible floods in Pakistan.
